EzySpec and NBS Source FAQs

Learn more about what the NBS acquisition of EzySpec means for existing EzySpec manufacturers and NBS Source subscribers.

What's the difference between EzySpec and NBS Source?

NBS Source is a single digital source of construction product information from thousands of manufacturers, in a standardised format, available when and where specifiers need.

It contains all the information a specifier needs to decide on a product, whatever stage of their project they are at, and will integrate seamlessly into their project workflow.

As an existing EzySpec subscriber, you will continue to enjoy all the benefits of EzySpec, plus gain access to the powerful features of NBS Source, including:

  • Marketing your products accurately through a global digital medium

  • Getting your products specified through our integration with NBS Chorus

  • Working directly with the specifier – suppliers can be invited by specifiers into NBS Chorus to collaborate directly on a specification
How do existing EzySpec users get set up in NBS Source?

In due course we will be reaching out to you to discuss the migration of your existing product data over to the NBS Source website.

Whilst our team will take on the responsibility of authoring all of your product content, you will be asked to review and confirm its accuracy prior to publishing.

What does this mean for existing NBS Source subscribers?

We will begin the process of integrating the EzySpec platform into NBS Source.

Until the two platforms are fully integrated, you will be given access to both platforms. You will continue to have access to NBS Source, plus your product data will be migrated into the EzySpec platform.

Via the EzySpec platform you will have access to analytics on how your products are being used on over $70 billion worth of construction projects through the specification consultancy team at SCL Schumann.

What happens to customers who are signed up for both EzySpec and NBS Source?
