NBS Enterprises Australia Pty Ltd adds to its growing specification content database with the signing of a heads of agreement for the acquisition of architectural specification template provider, SpecPack.

It is expected that completion of the sale will occur by the end of March 2021. Following the acquisition, SpecPack specification templates will become available in NBS Chorus, alongside Uniclass 2015 structured content, commencing in Autumn 2021 with SpeedSpec – an ideal product for a range of projects, including single, high level housing, multiple residential and light commercial.

Lincoln Easton, NBS Managing Director APAC, says, “This acquisition marks another step forward in our mission to become the information platform for the Australian construction industry. There’s huge demand on the construction industry as the world’s population continues to rise, and with that comes a need to ensure quality control and accuracy in design and specification, through to construction and building maintenance.”

Easton adds, “With the availability of concise and customisable SpecPack specification templates in a cloud-based format, alongside NBS’s extensive Uniclass 2015 structured content, architects and specifiers using NBS Chorus can ensure they’re referencing the latest and most appropriate content for every project.”

Glenys Nall, SpecPack Director, comments, “NBS impressed us with their passion for digital construction and the capabilities being offered through NBS Chorus. We’re excited for SpeedSpec users to experience SpeedSpec specification templates in a fully digital platform. They’ll be able to manage their design projects more efficiently than ever through the seamless integration of Chorus into modelling platforms such as Revit, ArchiCAD and Vectorworks.”

Glenys concludes, “I believe our valued customers, some of whom have been with David and myself for over 25 years, will be in great hands with NBS and I look forward to watching NBS continue to grow as they work towards improving design practice in Australia.”

This news is part of NBS’ global growth strategy to connect construction information, following the acquisition of Australian specification consultancy SCL Schumann (SCL) and its specification tool Ezyspec.
